Project 12

Stop Motion

For this stop  motion, my group and I decided to emulate a stop motion video with face paint. We tied it into the subject trying to get ready and painting her face representing a mask and then taking it off showing that she does not need it. This video has a happy mood and uses every color of the rainbow.

Project 10

Magazine Mock-UP

In this project we made a mock up of a magazine.  I used a friend of mine who plays lacrosse to form a lacrosse magazine. For the cover I cut him out and pasted a few of the texts I found on the real Inside Lacrosse magazine, emulating it. Then I made spreads for pages two and tree, four and five, six and seven, and then a back page. I made two adds, a Gatorade and Nike add. I added text boxes and placeholders for the photos. Them I dropped in each photo after editing it to make the player or subject stand out in the photo.

Fine Art Portraits

For this set of fine art portraits, I used a close friend of mine as my model. She is always very smiley and I liked how the colors of her dress stood out against the green garden and grass. I put a few in black and white because they seemed more intense, but I left a few in color and exaggerated it to demonstrate the mood. For example in the photo where my friend is laughing in the grass I increased the saturation and blurred around her face to make her stand out. She isn't looking directly at the camera which I like. These photos show her fun personality. In many, I increased the clarity to make her look more vibrant.

Commercial Portraits

In the first commercial portrait I added a slight vignette and made her the focus. I decreased the exposure under her chin to make her jaw stand out. For the lower photo, I decreased the clarity and blurred the background so she stood out. I posed her so the back of the detailed dress was showing.
